The Arizona State Sun Devils continued their busy portal & recruiting push this weekend, adding former USC athlete Raleek Brown into the class.

The 5-foot-8, 185-pound Brown, who was ranked the No. 27 overall transfer prospect in this class, brings a ton of speed and versatility to Kenny Dillingham and Marcus Arroyo’s offense.

Brown tallied 151 receiving yards, 166 rushing yards and five total touchdowns his freshman year in 2022. He appeared in two games in 2023, maintaining redshirt status.

He will have three years of remaining eligibility.

As an elite recruit at Mater Dei High School, he compiled 4,174 rushing yards, 54 rushing touchdowns, 1600 receiving yards and 18 receiving touchdowns over four years.

Kenny Dillingham and wide receivers coach Ra’Shaad Samples were leading the charge on his recruitment.

He has played running back and transitioned to wide receiver last year with the Trojans. He can impact the game a lot of ways for the Sun Devils on offense and as a returner in special teams.

If he finds touches in the backfield or through jet sweeps, he brings a whole new dynamic to the Sun Devil running game. Cameron Skattebo and DeCarlos Brooks – when healthy – were very effective under Shaun Aguano. Kyson Brown also contributed as a freshman, but Brown’s home run ability was something that wasn’t present in last year’s offense.

Brown would join an already talented group of presumed returning wide receivers and mesh well with some of the bigger wide receivers like Troy Omeire and Elijhah Badger and present different options in the Sun Devil passing game.
