One of the most dynamic athletes to come through the Arizona prep ranks is now heading to the NFL.
Former Centennial defensive back Dominique Hampton had a decorated career at the University of Washington and is now headed to Washington D.C. as a fifth round pick of the Commanders.
Hampton was a mainstay in the Husky secondary the past two years. He made a key pass break-up in Washington’s close win over Oregon during the 2023 season to for a turnover on downs and help seal the game for Washington, who eventually played in the National Championship game.
In 2023, he had 109 total tackles, two interceptions and seven passes defended.
At Centennial, he recorded eight interceptions as a senior and helped Centennial win two state titles in his three years at the varsity level.
