As the Kenny Dillingham offense looks to take its next step in Tempe, the head coach has hired someone uniquely familiar with that system in former ASU quarterback Brady White.
White was with the Sun Devils from 2015-17 and was the highest-rated Sun Devil quarterback commit in the internet era at that time.
While his time in Tempe was cut short due to a season-ending injury in 2016, he found the perfect home at Memphis, following Dillingham and Mike Norvell, who took over as head coach there. In three years, he accumulated 11,000 passing yards and 92 passing touchdowns with Dillingham as his offensive coordinator in 2018.
After Memphis, White camped with the Tennessee Titans and played in the USFL before returning to Memphis as a graduate assistant.
Now, he returns to Tempe as the assistant wide receivers coach to work with Ra’Shaad Samples and the Sun Devil skill position standouts.
White sat down with Sports360AZ to discuss his path to coaching, when he knew Dillingham could be a head coach and what he hopes to bring to this ASU program moving forward.
