As Shelby Shaffer wraps up her high school career, she’s found success on the basketball court, track and now the football field.
She helped the McClintock Chargers reach the 5A state championship game in girls flag football in her first year playing as a receiver and defensive back.
Shelby is a part of family of athletes, and she’s no stranger to the football field. Growing up, she was constantly on the sidelines during practice for her older brother Will – who played at Saguaro and is now a linebacker at ASU – and younger brother Langston.
This spring, it was her turn to hit the gridiron.
