Pinnacle guard Nico Mannion has been one of the most sought-after basketball recruits in Arizona’s history. He held offers from the likes of Duke, Kansas, Villanova and UCLA, among many, many, more.
The guard reclassified from the class of 2020 to the class of 2019 this summer, and slowly whittled his list down.
Now, there’s just one: the Arizona Wildcats.

After helping lead the Pinnacle Pioneers to a state championship last year, Mannion went overseas to Italy to train with the national team for the FIBA Basketball World Cup European Qualifiers.
As a junior, he averaged 23.4 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game.
Mannion is the top point guard in the 2019 class and the #13 prospect in the country according to 247Sports. He is the first Arizona commit of the 2019 class.
