Desert Edge wide receiver Andrew Patterson was a key part in one of the state’s most prolific passing attacks last year.
The class of 2021 athlete caught 53 passes for 1,165 yards and 13 total touchdowns. He also nabbed two interceptions on the defensive side of the ball.
On Monday, Patterson took the next step in his journey, committing to Montana State.

In addition to the Bobcats, Patterson holds offers from Colorado State, New Mexico, NAU, Idaho, New Mexico State, Washburn, Southern Utah, Gardner Webb, North Dakota, Abilene Christian, Weber State, Valparaiso and Fordham.
Patterson said ultimately he chose Montana State because of the strong connections with the coaching staff he felt. He was also able to visit Bozeman to see the campus and town. Since Montana has had low COVID-19 numbers, the admissions office, not the athletic department, is still open for tours of campus.
