The Arizona Cardinals brought in their first offensive free agent on Tuesday in tight end Charles Clay.
Clay is entering his ninth season in the NFL and has played for the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills. He was cut by Buffalo last week.
Former Bills’ tight end Charles Clay is signing a one-year deal worth up to $3.25 million that includes a $350,000 signing bonus with the Arizona Cardinals, per source. Clay was heading into the last year of a 5-year $38 million deal signed in 2015.

In his career, Clay has 339 receptions 3631 yards and 23 touchdowns. Last season, he had 21 receptions for 184 yards.
From 2013-16, Clay was a high volume target, catching at least 50 passes in each season and caught 49 in 2017.
Clay joins Jermaine Gresham, Ricky Seals-Jones and John Phillips among pass-catchers on the tight end depth chart.
The Cardinals have two defensive free agents already signed in cornerback Robert Alford and linebacker Brooks Reed.
