Looks like the Suns will be leaning on their depth more than they anticipated this postseason.
According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst and Adrian Wojnarowski, Devin Booker ‘could miss 2-to-3 weeks with Grade 1 hamstring strain.’
While Booker did make the trip to New Orleans with the team, that means he’s not likely to play in Games 3 and 4 against the Pelicans.
Coming off their loss in Game 2, the Suns have a chance to prove in the Playoffs what they showed all year: that they’re one of the deepest teams in the league.
Phoenix was 8-6 without Booker in the regular season.
Beyond Chris Paul and Deandre Ayton, expect Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson to have bigger roles in the offense.
Game 3 is Friday night at 6:30.
