DURHAM, NC – It’s hard to miss Bobby Hurley when walking around Cameron Indoor Stadium. His name, image and jersey are draped throughout the court and the surrounding areas, and for good reason.
The all-time leader in college assists helped the Blue Devils take home two national titles in his time with the program.
It’s a homecoming for him as his Sun Devil men’s basketball team is in town for a preseason exhibition against his alma mater. Coach Hurley’s return to the court where he accomplished so much is even more special as he gets to share it with his son, also named Bobby, who is a graduate student guard with ASU.
Sports360AZ was lucky enough to see the Duke Athletics Hall of Fame through the younger Bobby’s eyes as he revisited some of his dad’s biggest moments as a Blue Devil. He shares the story he hears about the most from his dad’s playing days, what it’s like to play at Cameron Indoor Stadium and getting to play another year in Tempe.
