Becky Burke and Stephanie Norman go way back.
Norman, who was a long-time assistant coach for Louisville women’s hoops, recruited Burke to play for the Cardinals. They worked together, pushed each other and cultivated a close relationship that lasts to this day.
One minute she’s coaching me in a Final Four, and the next she’s meeting my baby boy. 🥹💙 Love you Coach! @villehoopcoach @UofLWBB_ @UBwomenshoops pic.twitter.com/1iO6t6UWVs

On Wednesday, they’ll share a sideline as Norman – who is associate head coach and directory of basketball strategy for ASU – will face off against Burke, who is in her first year as Arizona head women’s basketball coach. While they’ll look to beat each other on the court, they’ll continue to support each other as they navigate their respective coaching journeys.
Both coaches sat down with Sports360AZ to talk about how their relationship has evolved over these years, their continued love of Louisville and why Burke will never forget where she needs to be during a defensive press.
