Beatdown! D-Backs return to Phoenix with a World Series split

16 hits and tremendous pitching by Merrill Kelly led the Diamondbacks to a 9 -1 thrashing over Texas in Game Two of the World Series Saturday night. Now that you know the result, I’d like to rant.

IF Sewald doesn’t give up the homerun to Seager in Game One, the Diamondbacks are up 2-0. Suppose it were only that easy.  What is undeniable is the Diamondbacks are the better baseball team in this World Series. More speed, better-starting pitching, clutch hitting. They are just an all-around better team. This isn’t the hometown sports guy honking the horn. I just had my annual eye exam, and what I see is everything about this Diamondbacks team is working better than for Texas. I’m pretty close to saying this series is over even though it’s 1-1…
