The Big 12 released their football schedules for the 2026 season, and this will be a historic one for ASU. They are headed to London to take on Kansas and will face some of the top talent the conference has to offer.

Here’s what stands out:
Logging the miles early
Arizona State goes to Kyle Field in Week 2 to take on Texas A&M and then head out to London to play Kansas. They could go straight from College Station across the pond to help the team get acclimated. It’s been discussed.
The bye was something we knew almost immediately after the London game got announced. That will be huge as the Devils will look to get back in the swing of things with Baylor waiting on the other side. ASU doesn’t need to travel for about a month after the London game.
BUT they also have a tough conference road slate with Texas Tech, BYU, UCF and Arizona.
Brutal middle stretch
There’s a brutal stretch sitting right in the middle of the season. Last year, ASU faced Utah, Texas Tech, Houston and Iowa State in the “middle third” of the season. This year, they only have to go on the road to both Big 12 Championship participants in Texas Tech and BYU and host Kansas State in between that. The Wildcats were down last year, but return Avery Johnson and have Kansas State legend Collin Klein running the program. I don’t think it’s crazy to see a Kansas State bounce-back (whatever degree that may be).
ASU went 2-2 in that stretch last year while also losing Jordyn Tyson, Sam Leavitt and Ben Coleman for stretches of that time. Can they continue to withstand a tough stretch next year?
Facing Top QBs
In Big 12 play, ASU will face the No. 2, 3 and 4-rated QB transfer prospects in Brendan Sorsby (Texas Tech), Drew Mestemaker (Oklahoma State) and DJ Lagway (Baylor). Pair that with First Team All-Big 12 selection Noah Fifita, the dynamic Avery Johnson and a couple of talented young QBs in Bear Bachmeier and Juju Lewis and ASU will go up against some of the top quarterbacks in the conference.
