ASU Football Uses Practice Playlist to Move on From 2024 Success

Arizona State football heard all offseason how good it was.

Big 12 champs, College Football Playoff participants, most of the group in Tempe this year to run it back. It’s easy not to give high praise the Kenny Dillingham and co.

Which is why the coaching staff didn’t want their team to coast through a crucial part of the prep calendar.

That’s why DJ Dilly played “We Are the Champions” over…and over…and over again throughout their first spring ball practice. He wanted praise to sound like the ocean hitting rocks to his team – just white noise.

All I Do is Win Snuck in for a couple songs. Kendrick got a play or two. Lose Yourself hit repeat a couple times. But it was predominantly Freddy Mercury with an emphatic decree that players are already starting to reject one practice in.

Nothing like turning the page on a season with exposure therapy, right?
