Which is why the coaching staff didn’t want their team to coast through a crucial part of the prep calendar.
That’s why DJ Dilly played “We Are the Champions” over…and over…and over again throughout their first spring ball practice. He wanted praise to sound like the ocean hitting rocks to his team – just white noise.
All I Do is Win Snuck in for a couple songs. Kendrick got a play or two. Lose Yourself hit repeat a couple times. But it was predominantly Freddy Mercury with an emphatic decree that players are already starting to reject one practice in.
Nothing like turning the page on a season with exposure therapy, right?
