Army RB Kanye Udoh Announces Transfer to Arizona State

Arizona State was prioritizing an experienced, physical back in the transfer portal to help shoulder the load of Cam Skattebo’s departure next year.

They found that in Army running back Kanye Udoh, who announced his transfer intention on Saturday. 

Udoh, standing at 6-foot, 216 pounds, rushed for 1,117 yards and 10 touchdowns on a 179 carries (6.3 yards per carry) last year. He has two years of remaining eligibility.

The Army running back and his family were at practice on Friday taking in the Sun Devils’ preparations for the Peach Bowl on January 1. 

Prior to Udoh’s announcement, Arizona State running backs with remaining eligibility included Kyson Brown, Alton McCaskill, Raleek Brown and Jason Brown Jr. 

Shaun Agauno continues his trend of adding highly-touted transfer portal running backs including Skattebo, X Valladay and Rachaad White. 

Udoh joins wide receivers Noble Johnson (Clemson) and Jalen Mills (Fresno State) and kicker Jesús Gómez (Eastern Michigan) as announced transfers for the Sun Devils.
