The Arizona Wildcats won its second straight Pac-12 tournament with a 61-59 win over UCLA.
Courtney Ramey hit the go-ahead three-pointer – his only basket of the night – with 17 seconds left.
In response, UCLA point guard Tyger Campbell was fouled with 5.8 seconds left in the game. He made one of two free throws, and Arizona was able to hang onto the lead in the final seconds.
Azoulas Tubelis led the way for the ‘Cats with 19 points and 14 rebounds. Oumar Ballo also had 13 points and eight boards.
The ‘Cats are now 2/2 in the Pac-12 tournament under Tommy Lloyd. It wasn’t a question of if the Wildcats would make the NCAA tournament, but another win over UCLA certainly helps Arizona’s case to rise up among the No. 2 seeds or become a top seed in a region.
