After going 8-4 in the regular season, the Sun Devils are headed to the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl to play the Duke Blue Devils.
It’s the 92nd edition of the bowl game and it will be the eighth time the Devils have been participants.
In the last 11 years, ASU has been to El Paso three ties (2014, 2017, 2019).
This was the same matchup in 2014 Sun Bowl, where the Sun Devils beat Duke 36-31. Taylor Kelly threw for 240 yards and two touchdowns. Demario Richard caught both touchdown passes and rushed for an additional two scores.
This year, Duke made the ACC Championship with five losses. The Blue Devils ended up beating No. 20 Virginia on Saturday to take the ACC crown.
The Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl kicks off on December 31 at 1 PM AZ time.
