On Saturday, the NCAA bracket preview revealed the Arizona Wildcats would be a No. 1 seed if the tournament started today.
They sure showed that on Saturday night, beating rival Arizona State Sun Devils by 45. It is the largest margin of victory in a men’s basketball game between the Wildcats and Sun Devils. It’s the first time since 1988 where the margin of victory was at least 40 points.
The Wildcats shot 57.1 percent from the field and 40 percent from beyond the arc.
Jaden Bradley led the team with 21 points on 8/11 from the field. Caleb Love, Oumar Ballo, Keshad Johnson and Paul Murauskas and Kylan Boswell all also scored double-figures.
The Cats out-rebounded the Devils 46-28 and had 52 points in the paint to ASU’s 16.
The Wildcats will have their next four games in the state of Arizona with three of them coming at McKale Center against the Washington schools and Oregon.
