Give me someone who didn’t like Bruce Arians calling out Patrick Peterson during Mondays breakdown of the Cardinals win over the Giants? Let’s be clear, I am a Peterson fan, but Sunday when he made contact with an official he was lucky he didn’t tossed from the game. “He got frustrated and let the referees get to him, and the referees called a heck of a game”.
You don’t often hear an NFL head coach give props to the officials, or call out one of his top players.
Is it Arians way of waking Peterson up for this Sundays showdown with the 49ers? Michael Crabtree, Anquan Boldin and Vernon Davis(ankle injury not as bad as first thought) come to town looking at being two games back of the Cardinals in the NFC West if they don’t win…

While there are too many flags being thrown, TV timeouts making the pace of games unwatchable, and all of the moral questions going on in my mind watching the Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson stories unfold. I am still a fan of NFL Football mainly because i’ve been around the game for 30 years and have seen it go through the ebbs and flows. I agree with the stance taken by Mark Cuban that “Pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered. And they’re (The NFL) getting hoggy. When you’ve got a good thing and you get greedy, it alway, always, always, always always turn on you. That’s rule No. 1 of business.” Cuban shared those thoughts last March. Is he right?
Monday nights terrific game between the Colts and Eagles that went down to the wire was down 4% over last years Steelers-Bengals game. Sure, just one game. But Cubans comments are worth watching over the next few seasons.
