The University of Arizona’s Daniel Susac will bring his consistent productivity to Oakland after the A’s selected him with the No. 19 pick in the MLB Draft on Sunday.

The 2021 Pac-12 Freshman of the Year and 2022 Unanimous All-American le the Wildcats with a .366 batting average with 50 runs scored, 19 doubles, 12 home runs and 61 RBI. He led the Pac-12 in base hits as well.

According to MLB.com, Susac can impact the game in multiple ways:

Big and physical, Susac has shown the ability to drive the ball to all fields, using the gap very well during his freshman season. There’s legitimate power to tap into as well. A former high school quarterback, he’s a better athlete and moves better than you’d think given his size.

Daniel’s brother Andrew played at Oregon State and was a second-round selection in 2011.
