Zane Smith Outlasts the Rain to go Back-to-Back at Daytona

The 2023 edition the NASCAR Truck Series race at Daytona was mettled with by Mother Nature but Zane Smith was able to go from the back to the front to claim victory in the series’ season opener of his title defense.

Tanner Gray finished in the runner-up positon, Christian Eckes led a race-high 19 laps but settled for third, Colby Howard finished fourth and Grant Enfinger rounded out the top five.

The Truck Series heads west for their next event at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 3. The Truck Series will return to Phoenix Raceway to crown their 2023 champion during NASCAR Championship Weekend on Nov. 3 in the Lucas Oil 150.
