Trevor Bauer started the night as the main storyline for the Diamondbacks in Atlanta, but it was the Chris Young show in the top of the ninth inning that ended up being the headline in a 3-2 come-from-behind victory.
Bauer was bothered by a cramp in his groin in the third inning that caused him some command issues. Aside from that. the third overall pick from a year ago weaved and bobbed his way through four innings striking out three and walking three while allowing two runs.
I am not going to make too much or too little out of what I saw in his first outing. His confidence and swagger appeared to be in fine form. His control was a bit of an issue in the minor leagues and once again it betrayed him in his first game. There will be many more games, I am just happy he has finally made it to the show.
