Arizona head coach Brent Brennan repeatedly stated in the offseason that his team would be better than it showed in its first year. He wasn’t kidding.

Friday night in Tucson, the Wildcats beat Kansas State 23-17 to remain unbeaten at 3-0.

Wildcat senior running back Ismail Mahdi averaged 8.6 yards per carry and finished the night with 189 yards in 22 carries. Arizona dominated the time of possession, holding onto the ball for almost 37 minutes.

Jordan Hamm has more from Tucson with the Wildcats.

Arizona is off next week and returns to action on Saturday, September 27th at Iowa State.
