Here are a few quick takeaways the Arizona Wildcats 56-30 loss to UCLA Saturday night.
1) “Oh Snap”
-Two poor snaps by Wildcats center Cayman Bundage played a huge role in the loss. It wasn’t the only reason why Arizona got blown out. The Wildcats had three turnovers for the game, but the snaps were back breakers.
2)Anu concussed
-Solomon headed to the locker room after being hit hard in the head. It appeared that he was undergoing concussion protocol. He left the game, with the Cats trailing 35-14.
3) That’s the fact Jack
-UCLA played without linebacker Myles Jack, who was lost for the season with a knee injury last week. It didn’t matter that Jack wasn’t on the field. The Wildcats offense wasn’t able to capitalize on the Bruins being short handed.
4)Perkins and Rosen
-No, they aren’t a law firm. The UCLA freshman quarterback didn’t make any mistakes and showed great poise and composure accounting for three touchdowns and 284 yards. Perkins, the former Chandler high product, had a huge night scoring three times and rolling up 85 yards.
5)Stats do lie.
-Bruins scored 28 points in the first half and put the game out of reach after the first 30 minutes, leading 42-14 at halftime. The Wildcats had 32 first downs and 450 yards(353 yds. rushing)
