“I hold the cards” – Bradley Beal January, 6, 2025
“Good riddance to bad luggage” – Brad Cesmat July 17, 2025
Another example of what’s wrong with sports. Beal leaves the Suns with 110 million in his pocket and a wake of destruction—all of this for playing in just 106 of a possible 164 games while in Phoenix. Of course, he immediately lands with the Clippers. Of course, there were reportedly over 20 teams that wanted his services. Begs the question of how bad it was behind the scenes during his time here, and was he all to blame? Suns fans are very forgiving, but I believe Beal goes down as one of the most despised players by the local fan base, right alongside Robert Horry. His selfish quote can be swept under the rug by pointing out, “Well, ownership paid him, what is he supposed to say?” No. No. No.
That is what is wrong with his story. “I’m here to help the Phoenix Suns right the ship” should’ve been the answer. Remember, he dropped that bomb in January when there was still plenty of time to turn the season around. An embraceable core before the Durant trade and Beal signing has left the purple and orange crowd green…
