When the topic of “loyal Sun Devils” is brought up in the Arizona State community, senior associate athletic director Mark Brand is near or at the top of the list. The long-time director of media relations announced on Thursday that he will retire from ASU Athletics next month. His 39-year tenure was honored by the National Football Foundation Valley of the Sun Chapter in April when he received the “Distinguished Arizona Award”. Here’s the tribute video from that event.
