VIDEO-ASU Coach Hurley Thrown out of Arizona Game

Welcome to the Pac-12 Coach Hurley. The refs are always this bad. The ACC we are not…

I was watching Hurley from my press seat during the first half of  Sundays Pac-12 94-82 loss to Arizona. He was trying hard to get a T to stop the momentum of an Arizona onslaught. The officials would have none of it, and they let him stew without repercussion. Finally, with the game out of reach, Hurley got the result he wanted. The message he sent was simple. “I will fight for my players and inspire the fans”…

Arizona may not have the flashy names of McConnell, Stanley Johnson, or Hollis-Jefferson . But they have a squad that can compete for a National Title. The Wildcats didn’t play the toughest of non-conference schedules, so Sunday I wanted to see how well they did  the little things. Protect the ball, rebound, poise, etc. I saw all of that and then saw Kadeem Allen. WOW…

How about Markus Howard, Alex Barcello, and Marvin Bagley all playing college basketball at Arizona or Arizona State. Keep dreaming…

For what he has to work with, Hurley has done a very good job of getting the most out of his roster. I look forward to seeing the progress of both programs when they meet later this season in Tucson…
