Corbin Carroll and Eduardo Rodriguez will represent the Diamondbacks at the Major League Baseball All-Star Game later this month in Philadelphia. The two were informed of their selection to the National League All-Star team earlier today.
This will be Rodriguez’s first time in the Mid-Summer Classic. He has been the Diamondbacks’ most consistent starting pitcher and one of the top left-handers in the game this season, ranking fourth overall in earned run average. (2.21) and in 17 starts has a record of 7-2.
Carroll, making his third appearance as an All-Star, is the 7th Diamondback all-time to be named to the National League team at least 3 times. He is first in triples(10), OPS(6th, .868), and a .511 slugging percentage(7th).
The All-Star Game will be played on July 14th.
