Truex Outlasts Field in Phoenix Raceway Instacart 500

His first career victory at Phoenix Raceway locked a playoff spot up for Martin Truex Jr. The 2017 NASCAR Cup Series Champion held off the field in a late restart to earn his 28th career Cup Series victory in the Instacart 500. To open the 2021 season, NASCAR has seen five different drivers in victory lane, all eligible for the playoffs, with hopes to return to Phoenix as a member of the Championship 4 on November 7.

NASCAR now travels to Atlanta Motor Speedway, the venue where NASCAR postponed the season due to COVID-19 last year. The Cup Series, Xfinity Series, Truck Series, and ARCA West Series will visit Phoenix Raceway to crown a champion in every series November 5-7, 2021
