Three Dots…Surgery for Barkley, Cards v Garoppolo, Prayers for Danny White

Arizona Sports News online

Jimmy Garoppolo has had a statistically sound training camp for the New England Patriots. Thursday night against Chicago his line was 16-21-181 yards and a touchdown pass. I watched the replay of the game and saw a quarterback that didn’t look like he’d only taken 31 regular season snaps in two games. Garoppolo leads the NFL in passing yards and will pick apart the Cardinals if they don’t get a pass rush. The narrative of Chandler Jones showing his stuff against his former team is clearly going to be one of the top couple of storylines in week one…

DJ Humphries Blocking CardinalsD.J. Humphries and Brandon Williams. The only two reasons I will watch the Cardinals v Chargers preseason game. Subjecting your valued work force to 4 or 5  games that don’t count before a five month marathon for the chance to get to the Super Bowl makes ZERO sense…

Former Chandler high star quarterback Brett Hundley had to leave Thursday nights Green Bay Packer game v Oakland with a gimpy left ankle. He’s been battling the injury in training camp and hasn’t taken many snaps. The Packers let go of quarterback Scott Tolzien during the offseason, so the job of backing up Aaron Rodgers is Hundleys’, he just needs to get his ankle right…

Alex_Barcello_Soph_Corona_BasketballUpdate on Corona Del Sol point guard Alex Barcello’ recruitment. The number one recruit in the state for 2017, will visit Arizona next weekend. He’s toured Stanford and Butler the last two weeks…

DANNY-WHITE-STILLSending thoughts and prayers to Danny White. The legendary Sun Devil and former Dallas Cowboy quarterback, lost his wife, Jo Lynn, this past Monday…

Spoke with Charles Barkley earlier this week on the show.

“The Chuckster” underwent his second hip replacement procedure two-and-a-half weeks ago in Philadelphia. He is using a walker to get around his house, so he’s not going out in public. That would be a tough picture to see…

On a personal note, I’ve accepted an adjunct teaching position at Arizona State Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. JMC 474, Advanced Issues in Sports and Media. Looking forward to the challenge…
