Three Dots…Pitino Salutes GCU, DBacks Ready for Winter Meetings, ASU QBs

636164053691718142-01w0115I dropped in on Grand Canyon University Saturday night. They had national powerhouse Louisville(ranked 14th) in the “Dan Dome”. The ‘Lopes set an all-time single game attendance record even though they lost to the Cardinal 79-70. There was much more to the game than just the single digit difference. GCU guard Dwayne Russell put on one of the best performances I’ve EVER seen in person, scoring a career best 42. Check out what Hall of Famer and two-time coach of the year Rick Pitino had to say about Russell’s  performance and playing at GCU. Talk about high praise…

Hoping it continues to be a busy offseason for the Diamondbacks. So far, so good on the moves made by Mike Hazen. I don’t think the fan base would be all that upset if Zack Greinke was dealt this coming week at the GM Meetings in Washington D.C. . By the way, Jordan Hamm from sports360az.com will be in D.C. with the Diamondbacks starting on Monday…

Rich Rod=good T.V. Thought he did a solid job on FOX Friday night as an analyst for the Pac-12 Title game. Bad games separate the good analysts from the ones who don’t do the extra work…

Arizona State brought in JUCO quarterback Blake Barnett for a visit this weekend. Todd Graham already has a verbal commitment from Ryan Kelley at Basha high. Recruiting quarterbacks is always an adventure. Just when you think you’ve got too many, you don’t have enough. But anytime you recruit a JUCO it means you’re not totally sure what you’ve got. That should concern any ASU fan.

Dropped in on “Manchester by the Sea”, Good date night flick…
