Joe Biden was named the winner of the presidential election about a half hour before Arizona State kicked off its season opener in LA. The upset of the day didn’t happen at the ballot box, but instead on the football field where USC won 28-27.

I’ve seen plenty of losses out of Arizona State over the last three years (20-18 record) but the WAY they let Saturday’s game get away from them was hard to explain. The loss had nothing to do with an early morning kickoff, rain, first game jitters. All was equal, and for nearly 57 minutes the Sun Devils looked like the better, more physical, deeper team. The end result was a mystery…

It’s no fun being on the other side of a Hail Mary (Jail Mary) game against USC…

Kedon Slovis gets on Heisman Watch lists with his late game performance. Doubt me? Two huge TD throws, LA market, FOX announcers losing their minds, highlights get played all day and night because of the early start time. Yep, Slovis checked a lot of boxes (wihtout a sharpie) by early Satuday afternoon…

Highland vs Chandler has been picked up as the YurView TV game of the week next Friday night…

Had my first in-person look at Desert Edge quarterabck Adryan Lara on Friday night. WOW. No hype needed. He’s just a junior, but can he flat spin it!! Already committed to Washington State…

When Mesa Mountain View  is strong, it’s good for Arizona high school football. The Toros are 6-0, with Basha and Corona Del Sol the next two weeks. A Mountain View vs CDS game would make for good TV. Stay tuned…

I’ve been listing to Fox News while jotting down my Three Dot Thoughts. If I hadn’t known their past leanings, I’d swear they were hitting straight down the fairway tonight. That’s what media should be. Not leaning to one side or another. Not trying to tell you what you WANT to hear, rather than just presenting the facts, give some opinion, and getting out of the way.

I consume all sorts of news on my satellite radio. NPR, CNN, FOX, CNBS, MSNBC, and even the networks. The sports industry is in the same space as the news business, which is why there’s stories like this.

ESPN Announces Biggest Job Layoffs in 41-Year History

This has nothing to do with politics. It has everything to do with content, contracts, and upsetting Mickey Mouse. When the stock price of Disney dives, good people at their sports property are going to be cleaned out.

The theme park doesn’t open in Orange County becasue of a pandemic, it impacts talented sports and production people. Once we all started adjusting to doing shows and games from our homes, it was just a matter of time before cuts came…
