Compass Prep’s Kylan Boswell announced his commitment to UArizona on Monday.

Boswell chose the Wildcats over UNLV, Illinois, and rival Arizona State.

The five-star guard is first-year head coach Tommy Lloyd’s first 2023 commit.

Clocking in at 6-1 and 180 pounds, Boswell will add to an already suffocating defense, according to 247 Sports’ Brandon Jenkins.

“One of the best on-ball defenders in his class, Boswell is aggressive in getting into opposing ball handlers and guarding with physicality,” Jenkins said. “He has the length to make life hard on whoever he is facing and is one who wins most one-on-one battles when guarding in transition.”

According to Jacob Polacheck and Adam Zagoria of zagsblog.com, Boswell is considering reclassifying to 2022.

Lloyd has UArizona firing on all cylinders, present and future.
