In NASCAR’s past three visits to Phoenix Raceway, patients from Phoenix Children’s Hospital have made the virtual trip from their hospital rooms to the race track. All of this became possible with technology from OhmniLabs and the vision from NASCAR Xfinity Series driver, Josh Williams.
Since 2015, Williams has make around 200 visits to nearly 100 children’s hospitals across the nation as he traveled from track to track on his NASCAR schedule. Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, Williams had to abruptly pause his hospital visits. In 2021, he stumbled upon these OhmniLab robots and have not used them to give patients a virtual VIP tour of the Phoenix Raceway Xfinity Series garage.
Williams now has his own OhmniLabs robots that travel with his race cars around the nation to use at different hospitals.
