Mesa native Oso Ighodaro is heading home.
The Marquette center and Desert Vista alum was selected by the Phoenix Suns with the No. 40 overall pick in the NBA Draft.
The BIG EAST Scholar Athlete of the Year averaged 13.4 points and nearly seven boards per game.
He helped the Thunder win a state championship in 2019-20 and has seen his plenty of basketball since moving on to Marquette.

He joins Virginia forward Ryan Dunn as the team’s selections so far in the draft.
Ighodaro joins Colorado’s Cody Williams (Perry HS) and DaRon Holmes II (Millennium) as former prep Arizona players to be selected in this year’s draft.
