With all of the focus on Suns center Deandre Ayton not having his rookie contract extended by the team, Mikal Bridges was sitting off to the side facing the same extension deadline as Ayton. Sunday, the Suns rewarded Bridges with a new deal.

The deadline to extend rookie contracts from the 2018 draft class is Monday. How will Ayton handle the Bridges extension if the Suns don’t give the center a new contract?
