Texas to Tempe will make a turn to Atlanta.
The Longhorns defeated Clemson 38-24 in their first round CFP match up Saturday afternoon, setting up a New Years Day showdown with the Arizona State Sun Devils in the Peach Bowl to played at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
Running back Jaydon Blue was the star of the game for Texas, accounting for 177 yards of offense including a 77-yard burst early in the fourth quarter.
The two teams met in the 2007 Holiday Bowl in San Diego, with the Longhorns rolling to a 52-34 victory.
