Friday night, Arizona State found themselves trailing TCU 17-0 midway through the second quarter, but the Sun Devil defense would step forward with big plays the rest of the night, leading to a thrilling 27-24 win over the Horned Frogs in Tempe.
Quarterback Sam Leavitt threw for two scores to Jordan Tyson and ran one in for a touchdown. ASU rushed for 214 yards on the night, led by Raleak Brown, who gained 147 on 22 carries(6.7 avg)
TCU quarterback Josh Hoover was intercepted twice, and the ground game was only able to put up 10 yards on the Sun Devil defense. Arizona State put up 492 yards of total offense.
With the victory, they improve to 4-1 and don’t play again until the second weekend of October on the road at Utah.
