Arizona State put up little fight early Saturday afternoon at Washington State, before mounting a furious fourth-quarter comeback that would come up just short, falling  to the Cougars 28-18

Linebacker Kyle Sollee, the leading tackler in the Pac-12, was out of Saturday’s game because of illness. The Cougars jumped all over the Sun Devils in the opening half, taking a 28-0 lead into the locker room at halftime.

Cougars running back Nakia Watson rolled up 116 yards and scored three times on the day

Sun Devil running back Xazavian Valladay finished the day with 134 yards on the ground and a score. He also had 6 catches.

ASU was just 3 of 14 on 3rd down conversions. They missed on 3 two-point conversions

Arizona State mount a comeback in the fourth quarter with backup quarterback Emory Jones on for the injured Trenton Bourguet, but the four-touchdown hole was too big for the Sun Devils to crawl out of.

With the loss, the Sun Devils are eliminated from bowl eligibility, falling to 3-7 with two games remaining.
