The riverboat gambler head coach decided to do his thing in the first quarter of Saturdays Big 12 title game. Kenny Dillingham went for it on 4th and 1 from his own 34 and dialed up a 63 yard pass play that would flip the field and the game. After that move, Dillingham’s Arizona State Sun Devils rolled all over Iowa State 45-19 to take the Big 12 Championship in Dallas and stamp their way into the College Football Playoff.

Cam Skattebo destroyed the Iowa State defense to the tune of 208 yards of total offense(170 rushing on just 16 carries) and 3 touchdowns.

If there was a downside to the domination, it happened in the 4th quarter when safety Shamari Simmons was ejected from the game for a targeting hit on Iowa State quarterback Rocco Becht. Simmons will be ineligble for the first half of the Sun Devils first round game in the CFP.
