Sam Leavitt Wants to Bring Consistency, Versatility in QB Battle

CAMP TONTOZONA –

As Sam Leavitt and Jeff Sims experience their first Camp Tontozona, the quarterback room is continuing to take shape.

Kenny Dillingham said he’s not in a rush to make a decision ahead of the season opener on August 31 against Wyoming.

Last year, the Camp Tontozona scrimmage was a turning point for the quarterback battle as Drew Pyne suffered a hamstring injury and Jaden Rashada had a standout performance that was the catalyst to him being named QB1 for the 2023 season opener.

The 2024 edition may not create THAT much of a swing, but it will be an opportunity for coaches to evaluate their players in a live setting.

Leavitt met with media after Friday’s session to discuss how Kenny Dillingham and Marcus Arroyo create an offense friendly to playmakers, what he can bring to the offense and where he’s grown since the spring.
