The Vail Empire Ravens defeated the Tucson Amphitheater Panthers 27-7 at Amphi on Friday.
Empire scored a touchdown every quarter and never trailed the Panthers in a game that possibly had 4A Gila Region title implications.
After Friday’s games, the Ravens are now in second place in the region just behind Catalina Foothills who handled Rio Rico easily.Empire and Catalina Foothills will face-off in a game next week at Empire, with the winner likely securing the 4A Gila title.
