The reigning National League champions are making moves as the MLB Winter Meetings wrap up.

According to ESPN’s Jeff Passan, the snakes ink left-handed starting pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez to a four-year contract, worth around $20 million per year.

The southpaw is 30-years-old with eight years of big league service. He’s pitched for the Boston Red Sox and Detroit Tigers.

His 2023 regular season numbers in Detroit are stellar. He posted a 3.30 ERA in 26 starts, while recording 143 strikeouts and 48 walks (nearly a 3-1 ratio).

Arizona now boasts one of the top rotations in baseball. Zac Gallen, Merrill Kelly, Rodriguez, and Brandon Pfaadt can go toe-to-toe with any pitching staff in the league,

Don’t expect Mike Hazen and the Diamondbacks to stop making moves this offseason. There’s still plenty of rumors connecting this franchise to different free agents and trades.
