Just finished my sit-down interview with actor Harrison Ford over here in LA. He plays the real-life role of Branch Rickey in the new movie “42”, the Jackie Robinson story, that opens next week. I have to admit that it was interesting sitting across from Hans Solo and Indiana Jones this morning and finding out he wasn’t much of a baseball fan before making this film.
This movie is getting a ton of buzz nationally because it’s been done so well on a very difficult subject. I will explain much more through my interviews with the cast from the movie over the next week here on pros2preps.
A couple of other thoughts on the sports scene. It’s been a nice start to the season for the Diamondbacks.Taking two of three from the Cardinals, which included pounding on the ace of the St. Louis staff, Adam Wainwright, is the way you want to start the season.
I picked Gerardo Parra before the season started as “my guy” to have a big season. So far, I feel pretty darn good about my pick. He has 16 total bases in 16abs, 8 hits, along with three doubles, a triple, and a home run. Just give him 500 at-bats and get out of the way.
