Purdy – Rattler Showdown Was Great Drama, Surprise Out Of Hamilton QB

Arizona Sports News online

Brock Purdy vs. Spencer Rattler was great theater on Saturday night. Two home town kids from Maricopa County on display for the rest of the nation to see.

The Iowa State victory over Oklahoma wasn’t decided until the final moments, but both players came out as winners from their play in the game. Both will play on Sunday’s unless an injury takes them down. Purdy is eligible to enter the NFL Draft after this season and has been ranked as high as a mid-first round pick in some mock drafts. Rattler is just a redshirt freshman, but has shown early on that he has a bright future after college at OU…

From the “it’s a small world ” file, in 2015 Landon Donovan almost became part owner of Arizona United (Now Rising FC). The right fees that TV networks pay out more than make up for smaller crowds that you may get at in person fora morning start…

Which way will you go on December 11th? Arizona State at Arizona for the Territorial Cup in Tucson or high school football state semi-finals. Yep, they’re both on the same day…

I was curious if Hamilton head coach Mike Zdebski was surprised by anything quarterback Nicco Marchiol showed in his first game for the Huskies Friday night.  His answer: “Everyone knows he can throw, but he’s fast. That’s a pleasant surprise”…

Score prediction: Cardinals win at Carolina 17-16.
