One lucky Dbacks fan will win a personalized 2023 NL Championship ring through a raffle

By Jayla French

The Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation is offering fans a once-in-a-lifetime chance to win its 2023 National League championship ring.

Fans who enter the Dbacks Foundation ring raffle now through Aug.10 will be in the running to win a customized player edition of the championship ring. The winner will be selected the following day.

The ring is 10-karat gold with 85 round diamonds, 4 princess-cut diamonds, and 27 black onyx stones. It’s got the team logo and slogan “Embrace the Chaos,” and “We are the Dbacks,” an employee philosophy for the organization. Other details include a snakeskin background around the exterior. Encrusted on the interior of the ring are the three series in the team’s playoff run leading up to its 2023 World Series appearance.

“It’s the exact same ring that our players are wearing,” Derrick Hall, President and CEO of the Diamondbacks, said on Tuesday.

Those looking to enter into the raffle must be 18 years or older and are located in Arizona. A single ticket costs $10, 10 tickets for $50, 25 tickets for $100, and 250 tickets for $500. When you buy a ticket, the purchase amount will be a donation to support the charitable efforts of the foundation.

Hall said the foundation anticipates raising around $100,000 to support several causes and programs.

“It might go towards educational and all our stem work or our Avnet Scholars. It could go to military initiatives, one is Hometown Heroes with ‘Gonzo’ (Luis Gonzalez). It could go to our youth programs and all that we’re doing with RBI and some of our work out in the field, but so many different areas. It might go to our grants and Grand Slam Awards as well,” Hall said.

Additionally, the “D-backs Give Back” are at an accelerated pace with giving back. The foundation has raised more than $85 million overall, committed to supporting the community.

Part of the foundation’s mission is to provide support in areas of need throughout Arizona. Those needs include education, youth sports, veterans, police, teachers, firefighters, first responders programs, and more.

The idea to do something like this came during the beginning stages of planning for the rings. Now one lucky fan will have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to join an exclusive club of Dbacks players, coaches, and staff with this special limited-edition ring.

The Diamondbacks will face the Philadelphia Phillies at home for a National League Champions rematch on Aug.10. This will also be the final day to enter the raffle. 30,000 fans will receive a replica championship ring as part of a giveaway.

“It’s a great opportunity for our fans,” Luis Gonzalez, former left fielder for the Diamondbacks and current Senior Advisor said. “Our fans are a big part of the game and for us to think about our fans – whether they keep it or pass it along to their kids or their family somewhere down the line, it’s pretty unique and special.”
