The 2021 NFF Tom Wheatley Memorial Scholar Athlete award winner is Brady Overson.
Overson just graduated from St. Johns high school. During his time there, he was a four sport athlete and a standout on the gridiron playing in the trenches on offense and defense.
“This award means a lot to me because I love playing sports and my parents have always had me keep up my grades,” Overson said. “Playing sports has helped with with time management and hard work.”
His next journey is a two year mission for his church in New York City.
“I’m from a small town,” Overson said. “So I’m lookimg forward to different areas and just getting to know a big city, the big apple.”
After his mission, Overson plans to attend college to study engineering. He’s not sure which type yet, but says he thinks he would like computer engineering.
