Notre Dame Prep wide receiver Cooper Perry announced his commitment to Oregon after school this afternoon. Cooper recently took visits to Arizona State, Oklahoma and Oregon and was juggling offers from 26 programs before choosing to commit to the Ducks.

The 6-foot-0, 185-pound wide receiver is the No. 2 recruit in the state and No. 28 nationally, according to 247Sports.

It’s no secret that Oregon has done an outstanding job recruiting in State 48, often recruiting the state’s top prospects. Just last year, Oregon flipped the No. 1 prospect in the state, Elijah Rushing, from the University of Arizona to Oregon. The Duck’s recruitment stretches beyond the powerhouse schools in the state. In the 2024 class, Oregon signed players from Yuma Catholic (Jaxson Jones) and Sunnyslope (Luke Moga).

In 2023, Oregon targetted the powerhouse schools in the state – signing Cole Martin (Basha), A’Mauri Washington (Chandler) and My’Keil Gardner (Liberty).

Perry is the first 2025 Oregon commit out of Arizona.

Cooper established himself as a prospect to watch as early as his sophomore season when he posted 78 catches for 1,100 yards with 20 touchdowns. In his junior season, he had 72 receptions for 1,190 yards with 20 total touchdowns.
