NAU Offers And Commitment Status

The latest from the NAU Lumberjacks:

Daxen Hall – ’24 RB, Higley

On Nov. 15, Higley running back Daxen Hall received an opportunity to play football at the next level at NAU.

Daxen’s older brother Draycen Hall is currently a running back for the Lumberjacks. Draycen made the decision to continue his football career at NAU following a two-year LDS mission in Spain.

“To be able to play where my older brother has been playing these past few years and watching him grow through the program has been a lot of fun and gets me excited for the opportunity to play there.”

Daxen is already known in the locker room and among the coaches as Daxens younger brother.

“Over the past couple of years, I have been going to 7’s tournaments and the Coach Ball camps so I’ve had a great experience interacting with the coaches and getting to know them. A lot of times they would joke around and say I think you’re a little better or a little faster than your brother.”

Daxen says he’s impressed with the field and facilities at NAU and has had plenty of opportunities to check out the program firsthand.

This season, Daxen has 207 carries for 1,734 yards and 21 touchdowns.

“Watching my older brother play at NAU has made me realize college football takes a lot of effort and dedication to playing but he has also helped me realize with really hard work it is possible to play at that level of football.”

Dylan Sims – ’25 TE/DE Queen Creek

On Nov. 15, Dylan Sims received an offer from the Lumberjacks. In 11 games this season for the Bulldogs, he’s posted 26 total tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks and 2 quarterback hurries.

 A whole lot of Liberty

Navi Bruzon (QB), Keaton Stam (LB) and Braylon Gardner (WR/TE) all made a visit to Flagstaff over the weekend.

Quarterback Navi Bruzon earned a PWO opportunity with the Lumberjacks on his visit.

“I enjoyed learning new things about NAU with some good friends,” Bruzon said. “Coaches made us feel really welcome and the hospitality was great. NAU is a great place and I definitely am considering it!”

The Liberty Lions head into the first game of the Open Division playoffs tonight, ranked No.1 against the No. 8 Hamilton Huskies.

Joseph (Jojo) Clark – ’24 ATH, Saguaro

On Nov. 8 Saguaro’s Jojo Clark announced his decision to decommit from NAU. Clark is a two-sport athlete and plans to graduate early, this December.
