Myles Libman Makes National Football Foundation 2023 Team Of Distinction

Stanford Football wide receiver Myles Libman has been named to the 2023 National Football Foundation Team of Distinction. Myles was team captain at Pinnacle in his senior season and led his team to the 6A State Championship game. He was a role model for the Pinnacle Pioneers setting an example to his peers on the football field and in the classroom.

“I believed it was equally important to excel in the classroom as on the field because It acquires the same skills. Hard work, dedication, grit, and many more can be translated from the classroom to the field. I believe Excelling in both helped me grow as a person.”

This honor from the National Football Foundation recognizes student-athletes of high academic achievement. Libman earned a 3.97 GPA at Pinnacle, was a member of the National Honor Society and a member of the Principal’s Leadership Council. At the National Football Foundation Valley of the Sun Chapter award show, Myles earned the “HAT’ (Hustle, Attitude and Toughness) award and gave a speech on stage describing the importance of those qualities.

“Football is an amazing way to branch out and make an impact not just on the field. When you play on Friday nights all the eyes out on you but when you leave the field the eyes don’t leave you. I decided to try to impress people as much off the field as I did on the field and I encourage the younger generation to do that as well.”

Libman was also heavily involved in volunteer work outside of school. He worked with the St. Mary’s Food Bank, Feed My Starving Children, the Washington Street Foundation, the Suicide Prevention Walk and worked on donation deliveries.

On Feb. 1 Myles committed to continue his football career at Stanford University.
