The offseason starts now for men’s college basketball (aside from a select few schools), and three Arizona State players are testing the transfer portal early on in the process.
Forward Enoch Boakye and guards Jamiya Neal and DJ Horne have reportedly entered the portal as of Friday morning.
Boakye retweeted a report that he will enter the portal on March 21. The highly-touted forward out of Canada had a tough time finding the court behind Warren Washington, Duke Brennan and Alonzo Gaffney.
Reports came out that Neal would enter the portal on March 23. It seemed as though Neal would have an expanded role on this team moving forward as the sophomore really hit his stride in the last eight games this year, averaging 8.5 points per game. With Desmond Cambridge Jr. and Luther Muhammad exhausting their eligibility, there would be plenty of minutes available for him moving forward.
Horne was second on the team in points and assists per game last season. This was his second year with the Sun Devils, where he had the same production point-wise despite the Sun Devils having more options to score. He has one year of eligibility left.

It’s very early in the process, and each of these players could return to the team as well. Bobby Hurley found success in the portal during the last cycle, adding Warren Washington, Desmond Cambridge Jr., Devan Cambridge and Frankie Collins.
